Yankees For The Win!

Sports Commentary by Mike Jaret!

For Christ's fucking sake... the Yankees have finally won the World Series again! I know that it has only been nine years since the Yank's last World Series victory but it has been a LONG FUCKING NINE YEARS!!

Now that they have won (with the highest payroll I know) all the anti-Yankee trolls have come out in spades. This is what I have to say to say to those fuckers: FUCK YOU! Yes we know the Yankees have the highest payroll, and YES we know they have had the highest payroll since 2002. Have they won the world series since then? NO...so OBVIOUSLY having the highest payroll does not buy you a world series championship. It has required the mixing and matching of a bunch of over paid players...YES, but this team had a LOT of home grown players too! Melky, Gardner, Pettite, Jeter, Posada, Rivera, Cano, Joba, Hughes...JUST TO NAME A FEW. Yes we had AROD and TEX and BURNETT and C.C., but those were cogs in the wheel that was controlled by a bunch of homegrown, grassroots Yankees.

It was a long season, with a lot of ups and a couple of big downs, but in the end the Yankees proved they didn't have any real competition and stomped out the “best” teams in the playoffs fairly quickly. Rivera proved to be the ONLY closer in the playoffs that didnt either blow a save OR lose a game....FUCKING FLAWLESS. Arod turned out to be the clutch player in the playoffs that he has failed to be in recent years and basically took the team on his shoulders through the first 2 rounds of the playoffs. Jeter is as clutch as ever....hands down!

The 2009 Yankees were a fucking force to be reckoned with and proved it. Fuck you Peter Abraham for showing your true colors and leaving LoHud to join the Boston Globe...then proceeding to BASH the yanks until they proved him to be a prick and won the championship. SUCK IT DOWN ASSHOLE!
