Tom Farrell Brings the Bomp

RWS Adds Veteran Rock Journalist to Staff

Tucson, AZ: Running With Scissors has announced the arrival of a new member to its staff of star writers in Tom Farrell, a writer/photographer for music and game publications for over a quarter century.

Tom has experienced every side of the entertainment business, from rock band roadie to star journalist who's interviewed a host of celebrities, from Snoop Dogg to Brian the Talking Dog from "Family Guy." As a photographer, he's toured with just about every rock group you've ever heard of, snapping shots of personalities including Michael Jackson and the members of KISS. Tom has also written for an amazing range of magazines including a long-time stint as entertainment editor for Hustler.

"My first video game was Pong," he reports, indicating just how deep his love of video games runs. "And I've played on every video game and computer system from the Atari 2600 and TRS-80 to today's state of the art consoles." In fact, he first met Vince Desi when the RWS CEO was visiting Hustler magazine and Tom revealed himself to be a huge fan of the POSTAL series.

The first installment of Tom's column will be posted on the RunningWithScissors.com site later this month (just in time for the next edition of Prime Cuts) and the RWS team is delighted to have him onboard. "Tom's column on music and the club scene is a perfect addition to the site," Vince Desi proclaimed as Farrell joined the RWS editorial staff.
