'Stencil' Problem

This seems to only occur with certain video cards, usually those by ATI. An updated driver may solve the problem. If that doesn't work, try this:

1. Open the folder where you installed the game, usually "C:\Program Files\Postal 2".

2. Open the System folder.

3. Look for the file named "Postal2.ini". On some systems, you will see several files named "Postal2", in which case look for the one that says "Configuration Settings" next to it (make sure you change your view to "details" so you can see the file types).

4. Double-click on that file, which should cause it to open in Notepad.

5. Look for the following line:

UseStencil=true

6. Change this line to:

UseStencil=false

7. Save the file and exit from Notepad.

The game should now run properly, although you will notice that mirrors will no longer show reflections. This is normal behaviour in cases where your video card/driver does not support the "stencil" feature.
