Hanger

Tim Wambolt Reviews Ryan Nicholson's Gross Out Comedy

Hanger is the forth feature length film from master special effects wizard Ryan Nicholson, the director of Live Feed, Gutterballs and Torched. It's an offensive, racist, pornographic gorefest in the tradition of Terror Firmer.

It even features Lloyd Kaufman as a transvestite getting his dick burned off on the stove! Hanger is a very over-the-top movie and proud of it and therefore the tagline fits the plot perfectly: "Payback is a bitch of a whore!"

After a prostitute named Rose, (played by the talented Debbie Rochon) becomes pregnant and fails to bring home the money, her pimp Leory kills her and graphically rips the baby out of her vagina with a coat hanger. The fetus is thrown in the dumpster and left for dead. When the horribly disfigured baby, (now known as "Hanger") turns 18 his father finds him and tells him about Leory. Together they plan their revenge. They shake down a prostitute for information on Leory's whereabouts, then they gruesomely smash her head apart with a car door.

In the meantime Hanger moves in with a quote/unquote "Chinese" roommate (who likes to use bloody tampons as teabags) and they both end up getting drugged by another mutant. Hanger gets raped in an open wound in his side until shit is pouring out. When Hanger awakens he hits the rapist, POSTAL style with a shovel and shits in his mouth, then stomps his face into mush.

When Leory hears about this revenge planned against him he captures Hanger's father and burns him with a blow torch, while a prostitute, (who has not douched in several weeks) rubs her stinky pussy in face. They shoot Hanger's father in the head, wrap him in plastic and leave him for dead. But once again Leory learns the hard way that the Hanger family is not that easily killed after Hanger's father escapes and murders the naked prostitute by shoving a high powered douche bag in her nose.

I'll try not to give away anymore of the plot, but if what you've heard so far sounds intriguing then I definitely recommend checking the movie out for yourself just to see how far it actually goes! A lot of people are bashing the film, but from the start it makes no apologies that this is the type of film that Ryan Nicholson set out to do! And with that in mind I found it enjoyably disgusting throughout! The movie even features a creative sexual montage combining masturbation, rape and genital assault. Hanger is definitely a different kind of film from Ryan Nicholson, full of cheese, nudity and gross out gags, but if you're a sick fuck like me who gets a kick out of John Waters movies, then you will definitely enjoy Hanger (for all the wrong reasons!)
